The phase 1 exam to select around 7,038 candidates, including 3,736 ITI and 3,302 non-ITI, will be held on March 26.

Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall only if they have a valid admit card. So, they should ensure that that the following details appear clearly on the printout of their admit card: 1) Name and roll No 2) Clear photo 3) Legible signature 4) Clear left thumb impression 5) Complete address of the centre.
In a case of any discrepancy, candidates must raise the matter with the concerned authority immediately.
Due to an overwhelming response of candidates, OFB may allot centres to applicants in nearby towns and cities, in addition to the cities already notified.
Scheme of written exam (Phase 1):
For Non-ITI candidates: Written test of 3 hours duration, 150 questions, consisting of questions on English, general knowledge, mathematics and aptitude/reasoning, as per Class 10 standard or equivalent
For ITI candidates: Written test of 3 hours consisting of 2 parts, 150 questions. Part A: Questions on English, general knowledge, mathematics and aptitude/reasoning about 40% out of the total number of questions. Part B: Questions on the group of subject trades – about 60% out of the total number of questions.
There will be multiple choice objective type test on OMR sheet, with no negative marking.
